Get to know me! The Liebster Award.

Hi everyone! Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

This week's post will be about the Liebster Award!
Thank you so much to the lovely Franziska for the nomination  ☺️
Essentially, this award is all about giving everyone the opportunity to discover some new blogs - and I just love that! There are so many great bloggers out there to get to know!

The award is celebrated with ten personal questions and answers, and then I'll nominate other bloggers with another set of 10 questions! 
 
So, if you want to get to know me a bit better, read below!

Franziska's Questions for Me

1. What is your favourite makeup brand? 
Hmmm, is it bad that I'm not too sure? I only really got into makeup recently (you can thank all the Youtube Beauty Vloggers for that :P), so I'm aware of really good brands, but I'm yet to try them! My makeup collection currently has items from Nars (which so far I adore), Napoleon Perdis, Revlon, Loreal, Clarins and one bronzer from Mac. I'm getting keen to buy my first Mac lipstick soon! Hehe.

2. What's your favourite social media? 
I love Facebook for my friends and family, but I think overall I love Instagram a whole lot. It is definitely a source of daily inspiration, and if you’re like me and follow quote accounts it definitely brings some positivity into your day! It’s such a fun, interesting and visually pleasing platform.

That being said, I adore tumblr for similar, but also different reasons. Tumblr gives such freedom of expression, sheds light onto meaningful, important topics/discussions and can just be downright amusing and entertaining! 

3. What is your favourite season and why? 
So guys, I LOVE rainy weather when I am having a cosy, pyjamas, stay in bed, watch movies, hot chocolate-kinda day (doesn't that make autumn/winter sound so appealing!?!). But, I also love sunny days, and how bright and happy spring and summer can be! Apparently, I just can't make decisions! Haha. But let's be real girls, do you guys struggle with coming to terms about constantly shaving your legs when summertime hits? 1 point to winter!

4. When did you start blogging and what made you start?
This year in May - it's been about 5 months today! What made me start? Well, I am a journalism student, but you can click here to read my proper post on the reasons behind me blogging! It was time for me to try something different out ☺️

5. What would you do, if you had unlimited money?
Ahhh, if I'm being 100% honest with unlimited money my thoughts immediately turn to aiding poverty. I was so involved with social justice and am incredibly passionate about relevant and related issues. Have you guys heard of the Millennium Development Goals?


Unlimited money, used in the correct way, to complement these goals (money alone can't solve these issues though) would be incredible!

6. What is your favourite makeup item you couldn't live without?
When I started wearing makeup, eyeliner was the main thing I used - liquid or pencil - I feel like it just defines my eyes (and is super easy to clean off!). I'm a sucker for lip balms, lip glosses and lipsticks though - just a pop of colour!

7. What are you planning on doing in your future?
Previously I wouldn't really know how to answer this question too clearly, but then I did this post - and it helped give me a vision for my next 5 years! At the core though, I most definitely want to make a positive difference in people's lives, so any way that I can do that will constitute what I would want to be doing in my future ☺️

8. If you could go back in time to change something, would you? If so, what would you change? 
I'm a big believer in the idea that life happens for you, not to you. Every single little thing that has happened in my life has brought me to where I am now, given me the people I'm blessed to know, brought me to my mindset and given me goals that I want to achieve. For that reason, I wouldn't want to change anything in my past.

9. Are you a tea or a coffee person?
I will go with secret option Hot Chocolate, thank you! Haha, I enjoy having tea and green tea occasionally! I have only had coffee once in my life, it was when my friends realised I had never had it and bought it for me haha, wasn’t the biggest fan. Chai lattes are good though!

10. Are you a high street shopper or a designer shopper?
I am most definitely not a designer shopper, the unlimited money scenario doesn't really exist in real life :P  However, Gossip Girl definitely planted a serious love for designer fashion in me :P

    We're very similar in the sense that I was too a Journalism student! And I've only been blogging for about four months! Oh and I adore Nars - Sheer Glow has to be my favourite foundation of all time! Thanks for the nomination!

    I loved reading these facts about you! Especially how you chose a third option for the tea or coffee question, shows that you're an independent thinker :P
    I think some great brands for makeup are maybelline and Kiko (If you don't feel like spending so much money on a MAC lipstick, Kiko has some amazing ones!)

    I'm more of a tea person,but I still sneak an occasional hot chocolate in the evening :D
    And I'm guilty of using eyeliner every day as well haha :D I have started to bring more eyeshadows,blushes,highlighters and all that colour onto my face haha,but usually a BB cream and a nice eyeliner are my go to makeup looks :D
    (btw, I agree on the winter thing, so nice not having to shave your legs every.single.day.)

      Yay!!! Can't wait to read it! Hehe, tea really is growing on me, can never go wrong with the occasional hot chocolate though! :P I just feel like eyeliner makes me feel put together enough by using just one item! I need to get into eyeshadows more now, I love blush and highlighters. Haha, right!?! Summer can be such a struggle for that reason alone!
